Parents, Guardians, Staff and Students,
As you can tell by the media announcements of today, things are moving rapidly regarding school closings and the best ways to combat the COVID-19 virus in an effort to protect our students.
Due to the recommendations of the Governor's Office related to no large group gatherings and social distancing, we will comply by closing Fell Charter School for next two weeks.
Therefore Fell Charter School will be closed from Monday March 16th through March 27th. Please know that as a school, we made this decision with the most up-to-date information available. I also know that this is short notice to begin preparations for the safety and care of your children, our students, for next week. More information will be made available regarding food distribution sites and other logistics regarding the closure.
I appreciate your patience and understanding as we respond to this situation which changes by the hour.
I will await guidance from the PA Department of Education on Instruction. In an effort to make sure we are prepared for any eventuality regarding instruction, I have asked all students to bring home some necessary supplies.
I will communicate with you each day, going forward via email, or text alerts.
This is a work in progress...we will work through this, learn from this and do the best for our students, the way we always do.
As usual, I appreciate your support and understanding.
